SubwayTileWhat an amazing transformation from simple subway tile! I still need to get new outlet covers but boy am I happy with this kitchen updo!

No instructions here, because I think you can find plenty of great instructions via pinterest or home decor sites. Just me urging how easy and cheap tiling is. Don’t be afraid to tile on your own! This is probably one of the simplest DIY projects I’ve ever done. I used snow white 3×6 subway tiles and “simple grout” in bright white, all from Home Depot. I had the help of my mom, and we were able to tile 25 square feet in 4-5 hours, and grouted the next day, which only took about 1 hour. How easy!

If you are just starting to begin your tile journey, I highly highly recommend Tile Bar ! They offer a 5 samples for $5 deal, and it’s great! I probably ordered 15 different tile samples over the span of two months before (ironically) settling on basic white.

Don’t forget to over order the number of tiles you need – you can usually return any extras. And, check that all of the tiles come from the same lot number! Sometimes glazes and colors can vary slightly, and coming from the same lot can keep that to a minimum.

Good luck! Happy to answer any tiling questions in the comments below.
